These terms apply when you use QR Code Generator, a free, ad-funded browser tool operated by Gaming Mechanics. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Permission to use the service
Gaming Mechanics gives you a limited, non-exclusive and revocable permission to use QR Code Generator for lawful personal or commercial purposes. This permission does not transfer ownership of the service, its software or its branding.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the content you encode and for checking that the resulting QR code is accurate and suitable before publishing, printing or sharing it. You must have the right to use the content and must not use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or infringing.
Scanning conditions, printers, cameras and third-party scanner software vary. Test each QR code in its intended setting and keep an accessible alternative for important information.
Advertising and privacy choices
The service is free and funded by advertising. Ads may appear only when you have consented to advertising and the provider is configured. The generator, preview, download and share features work without ads. See the Privacy Policy and Cookie notice for how consent and optional Google services work.
Future hosted mode
These terms cover the current browser generator only. Hosted short-path QR codes, user accounts, Firebase and scan analytics are a possible future direction and are not available in v1.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the service, these terms or the available features. We will update the date on this page when these terms change. We do not promise that the service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
No warranty and proportionate liability
QR Code Generator is provided "as is" and "as available", without guarantees about fitness for a particular purpose, scan success or compatibility. To the extent permitted by law, Gaming Mechanics is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or affects rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
Law
These terms use UK English and are intended to be interpreted consistently with applicable law. They do not specify an exclusive court or legal jurisdiction where doing so would override mandatory rights that apply to you. Operator details such as a company number, postal address and contact email have not been published; see the Privacy Policy.
